OWNERSHIP: These condominiums are either owned by Vacation Internationale (VI), or Wyndham Resorts.   They are fully stocked vacation rentals timeshare condominiums, not just hotel rooms.  We have several months a year of ownership with VI and rent out what we don't use.  We are also offered unlimited very discounted prices for last minute (under 40 day rentals) and offer those reduced rates to you, our guests.  Typically VI owns several units within a complex.  There is on site or at times staff very close by to take care of any needs you may have.  If you rent from us, you will be treated the same as if you were the timeshare owner. 


CONTACTING VACATION INTERNATIONALE:  NOTE: We have been contacted by VI and told that some people who are reading our ads are contacting the resorts and/or the corporate office directly. Please do not do so.  VI is a timeshare company, not a rental company and does not want to take calls from non-owners looking for availability or asking other questions.  If after reading below, and noting our PAYPAL status and other credentials, you are still concerned that about renting from us thinking this is one of many scams out there, or don't have enough information after we've done our best to answer your questions, then please find your lodging elsewhere. For the skeptics, we have over 250 domains, over a $30,000 website, a business license in Washington State and no complaints.  The VI link we provide is solely for the purpose of providing you with comprehensive unit and complex information. Once your reservation has been made and you have an additional question about check-in or a particular resort or unit amenity that we are unable to answer for you, please feel free to call the resort directly as they are best able to help you. QUALITY OF UNITS:  These are timeshares owned and operated by either Vacation Internationale or Wyndham.  Many guests are confused by occasional poor reviews of units within a complex.  Considering these reviews would be like believing that all tenants in an apartment complex keep their apartments at the same level of cleanliness.  Most timeshare companies own several units in each complex and other units are owned by other companies or individuals.  Every one of our units is in very good condition, is well maintained and is well stocked.  We have heard our share of horror stories about condos that are privately owned.  Whereas we can't provide photos of every unit, in most complexes, decorating and condition is so similar that you won't be able to tell any difference whatsoever from one timeshare owned unit to another.  Our highest rates tend to be about 25-30% under the competition.  We have 100% guest satisfaction and are confident you'll find the units beyond your expectations.  We guarantee that your unit will be clean, fully stocked with matching kitchenware and linens and in very good condition.  We have used our VI timeshare for 25 years and never had a bad experience.


CHOICE OF UNITS:  Units are never pre-assigned.  This allows management to allocate units most efficiently as reservations change.  This is necessary as these units can be reserved with totally flexible starting dates and number of days stayed.  All the interior of the units within a complex tend to be very similar in condition and amenities.  They are all in very good condition.  You will get the best available unit since we are Prestige members.


MAID SERVICE:  There is no nightly maid service.  Stays longer than 8 days have 1 or more mid-term maid services.  When you are finished with your stay, you would leave your unit in the same condition you'd leave a hotel.  The maid will clean everything.  Typically you'll be asked to put your dishes in the dishwasher and start it and dump the garbage under the sink.  We have left usable food behind for the maid to choose whether to keep it or throw it away.


PEOPLE, PETS AND SMOKING:     Occupancy limits apply to all ages, including infants. A fee will be assessed for non-compliance.

We’re sorry but none of the Vacation Internationale resorts allow pets.  This policy is due to the extra cost of cleaning to protect future guests who have pet allergies.  They also have a strict no-smoking policy in the units for similar reasons.  We’re sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you and hope that you can find a way to leave your pet in a loving environment and enjoy our beautiful resorts.  


RENTAL CONTRACT:  We provide a short rental contract that we ask you to read.

We advertise on several vacation rental websites, including Trip Advisor, Vacation Timeshare Rentals, Vacation Rentals Galore and the Vacation Bug.  These sites do background checks as well prior to approving the ads.  Trip Advisor also provides feedback from my prior guests.  See reviews for links to our Trip Advisor ads.  You will see on those ads that we have been verified as owner.  If you are still unconvinced, it may be best to rent directly from a hotel.  



DURING BUSINESS HOURS:  Vacation Internationale (the timeshare company) must be open to finalize bookings for same day and some last minute weekend rentals. Do not contact corporate or resorts until you are a guest.

1. YOU CONTACT US:  You contact us by e-mail or if needed by phone requesting that a unit be secured for a possible reservation.  

2. WE SECURE THE TIME:  We call VI (hours) and put the unit(s) on hold.  Good until close of next business day.  If VI is closed, we will call when they open.  It is our policy that if we can meet all or virtually all of your requested dates,  and only 1 unit is available, that we secure the time immediately and send you notice that we put the unit on hold.  If you are ready to book, we start an on-line reservation which pulls the units temporarily out of inventory.  This secures the unit for about 30 minutes.

3. PAYMENT:  We receive payment from you. Making Payment

4. CONFIRM THE HOLD:  We call VI and confirm the hold or complete your reservation online.

5. SEND THE CONFIRMATION:  We send you a confirmation with your name and reservation number copied from the VI website.


AFTER BUSINESS HOURS:  We are able to complete all but last minute reservations online as soon as we receive payment. 


WHEN REQUESTING AVAILABILITY: please provide the requested location.  The calendars are on a secure owners-only portion of the timeshare sites so we can't link you to them.  We will provide you with a copy and paste of current months availability at any of our resorts.  We have over 40 resorts at VI and many others at Wyndam as well.  Please provide arrival date and departure date or number of days of stay requested.  If your dates are flexible, provide what time periods work and we’ll provide an availability calendar. 


AVAILABILITY:  There are over 30,000 timeshare owners that can book any of these units at any time.  A good percentage of people who wait to book and call us back, even a short time later find the units they want booked.  We are able to place a 24 hour hold if that helps you gather information to make a firm decision.  There is no obligation or cost for us to hold the unit for you.  In the event that the unit isn't available, it can be put on a waitlist.  (See details)


RATES:  You may find our rate schedule to be opposite of what you see elsewhere.  We set our rates dependent on what we pay.  Our rates are the highest from 60 days to 360 days in advance.  They tend to be lowest between 40 and 60 days, and still very competitive under 40 days in advance of arrival. They also depend on whether your visit is during low or high season.  All the rate schedules are posted for each property along with a rate calculator.  The rate calculator is an excel spreadsheet that only requires you input the arrival and departure dates occasionally along with the number of weekend nights you'll be staying.  Your exact rate will appear along with the occasional fees for parking or internet.  There are no hidden fees or taxes.  THE RATES ARE ALL-INCLUSIVE. 

For rentals over 40 days in advance there is occasionally an accommodation tax that needs to be paid on-site.  This tax is collected in Hawaii, BC Canada and Washington State.  Normally we deduct any tax you'd be asked to pay onsite from your total.  If you are required to pay a tax on-site, and the resort staff doesn't contact us for payment, notify us of the amount and we will refund it to you.  


LOW RATES:  Some people wonder how we offer such low rates.  We have an extensive ownership interest in Vacation Internationale (VI) timeshares.  We are given a discount for reservations made 60 days and less in advance of arrival.  If there is excess availability that owners may not use, VI would rather see those units occupied so offers us discounted rates.  So we pass that discount on, make some profit and offer these wonderful properties to guests at very low rates. 


DISCOUNTS:  We offer discounts to our military including veterans, and now to our police officers who also risk their lives for us.  Thank all of you.  We also offer discounts to Airline employees and low income seniors, to those with some disabilities, to Hawaii residents for Hawaii properties, as well as to repeat guests.  Please see our complete guide if you feel you may qualify for a discount.  (See details)


DEPOSIT:  We are fully responsible for the condition of the unit.  Typically we put a $100 authorization (not a charge) on a guests credit card.  If payment is by PAYPAL, we charge the $100 extra on PAYPAL and refund it within 3 days of departure.   It takes at least two days for us to be notified of any charges for damages.  In our over 20 years of ownership plus all the times we’ve rented it to others, I'm only aware of two charges and the guest had no issue with the reasonable amount charged for damage.  The deposit is for damage, not cleaning which is included.  At times with larger parties or younger people we take up to a $300 deposit.  You may leave the unit as you would leave a hotel room.  The check in sheet you’ll receive on arriving simply asks that you dump the garbage and put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.



We require full payment for non-refundable/non-cancelable rentals.  For cancelable rentals over 40 days in advance, we will reserve your unit for a $100 deposit with the balance due 40 days prior to arrival.  We are billed at 30 days for the over 40 day reservations so there are no refunds within 30 days of arrival unless insurance is purchased at time of booking.

Trip Advisor/Flipkey.  If you've made your request through Flipkey, we can invoice you.

Major Credit Cards by telephone.  You will be provided with our phone number when we respond to your e-mail and we have availability.

Direct deposit into Chase or BECU.

Checks:  They will need to clear prior to the reservation being confirmed.  (Don’t try to scam us with fake cashier’s checks; we already have over $50,000 of them and were not fooled.)

* All these cancellations will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee.  If you ever forfeit a $100 deposit, we will credit $75 toward any future rental at any of our resorts.  Typically these reservations are held with a $100 deposit and the balance is not due until 40 days prior to arrival.


If you are concerned that you may need to cancel less than 30 days in advance, VI allows us to purchase insurance for an additional $45 paid at time of reservation.  A $50 cancellation fees still applies (Our booking fees aren't refunded) as well as a $25 credit toward your next rental.  You can also purchase travel insurance if there is a concern about an insurable risk.  We pay non-refundable fees for these discounted rentals and rent to you at very discounted rates compared to owners that offer full refunds.

We will strive to re-rent your time if you are unable to keep your plans and you are always welcome to sublet your time.


GENERAL:       Vacation Internationale is an owner-run Timeshare located in Bellevue, Washington, about 10 miles from my home.  I purchased my first timeshare with them over 25 years ago and have been extremely satisfied.

NO TIMESHARE PRESENTATION:  There is absolutely no requirement for you to attend anything.  In over 25 years of usage, we've been approached twice at a VI resort by a VI salesperson asking politely if we'd be interested in additional points.  We simply declined.



CHECK IN:  You will find a "Check-in Info" link on the left navigation bar of each resort web page.  There you will find all the information needed to check in.  You'll also find the address and the phone number as well as other information. It is a good idea to bring your confirmation number with you.  However, you will be checking in with your name.  On our resort web pages, you will also find links for help the specific location and driving directions.


CONTACTING US:  It is not unusual for us to be fielding up to 50 e-mail in a given day. There are several of us on staff scheduled to assure replies as promptly as possible.  We prefer to limit telephone calls to times when e-mail won't suffice.  E-mail substantially reduces any miscommunication.  Every bit of information we have about the resort is on the resort webpage.  In the event you need immediate assistance, please don't hesitate to call.  We do speak with each person on the phone prior to completing booking.
